Rosuvastatin Calcium & Fenofibrate F10 & F20 Tablet Rosufree-F is a combination lipid-lowering medicine containing Rosuvastatin Calcium and Fenofibrate. The formulation combines two medicines with complementary mechanisms and may be prescribed for selected patients with mixed dyslipidemia, particularly when both elevated cholesterol and triglyceride levels require management. Rosuvastatin belongs to the statin class and inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme involved in hepatic cholesterol synthesis. This action primarily helps reduce LDL cholesterol. Fenofibrate is a fibrate that activates PPAR-alpha (peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha) and primarily helps reduce elevated triglyceride levels while influencing other lipid parameters. Rosufree-F should be used under medical supervision along with appropriate dietary and lifestyle measures. Because statin-fibrate combination therapy can increase the risk of muscle-related adverse effects, patients should report unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness. Lipid profile, liver function and renal function may require assessment depending on the patient's clinical condition. Uses of Rosufree-F: Rosuvastatin and Fenofibrate combination therapy may be used for: Management of mixed dyslipidemia Reduction of elevated LDL cholesterol Management of elevated triglyceride levels Improvement of lipid parameters when combination therapy is clinically appropriate How Rosufree-F Works: Component Main Action Rosuvastatin Calcium Inhibits HMG-CoA reductase and reduces hepatic cholesterol synthesis Fenofibrate Activates PPAR-alpha and enhances triglyceride-rich lipoprotein metabolism Combined Effect Targets both cholesterol and triglyceride abnormalities Possible Side Effects: Potential adverse effects can include: Headache Nausea or digestive discomfort Muscle pain or weakness Increased liver enzymes Changes in renal function in susceptible patients Severe or persistent muscle symptoms require medical evaluation because statin-fibrate combinations can rarely be associated with serious muscle injury.
