Enoxacan Injection - Enoxaparin Sodium Generic Name

Description

Product details

Enoxacan 40, Enoxacan 60 & Enoxacan 80 Injection Generic Name: Enoxaparin Sodium Description Enoxacan Injection contains Enoxaparin Sodium, a low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) anticoagulant used to help prevent and treat harmful blood clots. Enoxaparin works mainly by enhancing the activity of antithrombin III, resulting predominantly in inhibition of Factor Xa and, to a lesser extent, Factor IIa (thrombin). This reduces the formation and progression of blood clots. Depending on the patient's condition and approved indication, enoxaparin may be prescribed for the prevention of venous thromboembolism (VTE), treatment of deep-vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), and management of certain acute coronary syndromes. Available Strengths Product Active Ingredient Enoxacan 40 Injection Enoxaparin Sodium 40 mg* Enoxacan 60 Injection Enoxaparin Sodium 60 mg* Enoxacan 80 Injection Enoxaparin Sodium 80 mg* *Exact concentration, syringe/vial volume, and anti-Xa IU equivalence should be confirmed from the individual product label. Dosage The dosage of Enoxacan Injection depends on: Reason for anticoagulant treatment Patient's body weight Kidney function Age and overall clinical condition Risk of bleeding Concurrent medicines Enoxaparin is generally administered by subcutaneous injection. Certain clinical indications may involve additional administration instructions determined by healthcare professionals. Patients should use only the strength and dose specifically prescribed for them. Precautions Inform the doctor about any history of bleeding disorders, stomach ulcers, recent surgery, or stroke. Kidney function should be considered, particularly in patients with severe renal impairment. Tell the physician about aspirin, antiplatelet medicines, NSAIDs, other anticoagulants, or medicines that increase bleeding risk. Platelet counts may require monitoring because heparin products can cause heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT). Inform the healthcare team before spinal/epidural procedures. Pregnancy and breastfeeding should be discussed with the treating physician. Avoid intramuscular administration unless specifically appropriate for another medicine, because anticoagulation increases the risk of hematoma. Side Effects Possible side effects include: Bleeding Bruising Injection-site pain or irritation Injection-site hematoma Reduced platelet count Anemia Temporary changes in liver enzymes Serious complications can include major hemorrhage, heparin-induced thrombocytopenia, and spinal/epidural hematoma. Warning Enoxacan is an anticoagulant and can cause serious or potentially life-threatening bleeding. Seek urgent medical attention for unusual or uncontrolled bleeding, blood in urine or stool, black stools, vomiting or coughing blood, severe unexplained headache, sudden weakness, or extensive bruising. FAQ 1. What is Enoxacan Injection used for? Enoxaparin is used to prevent and treat certain blood clots and for selected cardiovascular conditions, depending on the clinical indication. 2. What strengths of Enoxacan are available? The listed variants are Enoxacan 40, Enoxacan 60, and Enoxacan 80 Injection. 3. How does Enoxaparin work? It enhances antithrombin activity and primarily inhibits Factor Xa, reducing the blood's ability to form unwanted clots. 4. What is the main risk associated with Enoxacan? The most important risk is bleeding, which can occasionally be serious. 5. Does Enoxaparin require dose adjustment in kidney disease? Yes, renal function can significantly affect enoxaparin exposure, and dosage adjustment may be required, particularly with severe renal impairment. 6. Can Enoxacan be injected intramuscularly? Enoxaparin itself is generally administered subcutaneously rather than intramuscularly. The prescribed route and technique should always be followed.
