Hypexol Depot 40 Injection Generic Name: Flupentixol Hypexol Depot 40 Injection contains Flupentixol, a first-generation antipsychotic medicine belonging to the thioxanthene class. The depot formulation is designed to provide a long-acting effect after intramuscular administration. Flupentixol works mainly by blocking dopamine receptors in the brain, helping reduce symptoms associated with certain psychotic disorders. Long-acting depot formulations may be used for the maintenance treatment of schizophrenia and other chronic psychotic conditions when considered appropriate by a psychiatrist.
