Product details
Glycolyte is available in two different formulations with distinct routes and clinical uses. Glycolyte Injection contains Glycopyrrolate Injection USP, an anticholinergic (antimuscarinic) medicine. Injectable glycopyrrolate is used in certain perioperative settings to reduce salivary, pharyngeal, and respiratory secretions and may also be used with specific medicines during reversal of neuromuscular blockade. Glycolyte Respule contains Glycopyrronium Inhalation Solution, an inhaled long-acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA). Glycopyrronium inhalation formulations are used for maintenance bronchodilation in obstructive airway disease, depending on the specific product's approved indication. Although glycopyrrolate and glycopyrronium refer to closely related naming of the same active moiety, the injection and inhalation formulations are not interchangeable.
