Cozartan H is a combination antihypertensive medicine containing Losartan Potassium and Hydrochlorothiazide. The formulation combines two complementary mechanisms to support blood-pressure control in patients for whom combination therapy is clinically appropriate. Losartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that selectively blocks AT1 receptors, helping reduce angiotensin II-mediated vasoconstriction. Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic that increases renal excretion of sodium and water. Together, these actions help reduce vascular resistance and circulating fluid volume. Cozartan H is primarily used for the management of hypertension under medical supervision.
