Telmibrook 40 contains Telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) used primarily for the management of hypertension. It works by selectively blocking the angiotensin II AT1 receptor, thereby reducing angiotensin II-mediated vasoconstriction and aldosterone activity. This action helps relax blood vessels, reduce peripheral vascular resistance and support effective blood-pressure control. Depending on locally approved indications and the patient's cardiovascular risk profile, Telmisartan may also be used for cardiovascular risk reduction in selected high-risk patients. Telmibrook 40 is a prescription medicine and should be taken according to medical guidance. During treatment, blood pressure, renal function and serum potassium may require monitoring. Telmisartan and other medicines acting on the renin-angiotensin system should not be used during pregnancy.
